At elaSEO, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us.
1. Who We Are
elaSEO (elaseo.com) is an AI-powered SEO toolkit built for bloggers, content creators, and small website owners. We are operated by Elango, based in India. When we say "elaSEO", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean the team behind elaseo.com.

2. What Data We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google — we do not receive your Google password.
2.2 Tool Usage Data
When you use our SEO tools, we store the inputs you provide (URLs, keywords, article text) and the outputs generated. This allows you to save and revisit reports in your dashboard. Free plan reports are retained for 7 days; Pro plan reports for 90 days.
2.3 Payment Information
We use Razorpay to process payments. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or banking credentials. Razorpay handles all payment processing and is PCI-DSS compliant. We only store your subscription status, plan type, and billing dates.
2.4 Website Data
When you use our Page Speed, URL SEO Checker, or Similar Site Search tools, we analyse publicly accessible information about the URLs you enter — the same data any search engine can see. We never access your hosting account, CMS admin, or any private backend.
2.5 Technical Data
We automatically collect standard technical data including your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. This is used for security, debugging, and improving the service. We do not sell this data.
3. How We Use Your Data

- ✓To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts)
- ✓To enforce free tier usage limits and Pro subscription entitlements
- ✓To send our newsletter — only if you have opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every email
- ✓To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
- ✓To respond to your support requests via the contact form
- ✓To comply with legal obligations
4. AI Processing
Our tools are powered by Claude AI by Anthropic. When you use any of our AI-powered tools, the content you enter (URLs, keywords, article text) is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle this data. We recommend not entering personally identifiable information or sensitive business secrets into our AI tools.
We also use the Google PageSpeed Insights API (free, no login required) for the Page Speed Score tool. URLs you test are sent to Google for analysis.
5. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. We implement:
- ✓Row-Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own data
- ✓Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
- ✓Encrypted storage for OAuth tokens and sensitive credentials
- ✓Admin access protected by secure cookie authentication
- ✓Regular automated database backups
Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. We will notify affected users promptly in the event of a data breach.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services necessary to operate elaSEO:

7. Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary to operate the service:
- •Session cookies — to keep you logged in via Supabase Auth
- •Admin cookie — to authenticate admin dashboard access (httpOnly, 24hr expiry)
- •localStorage — to temporarily save your tool inputs before sign-in
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. We do not display ads on elaSEO.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- →Deletion — request we delete your account and all associated data
- →Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
- →Objection — object to certain types of processing
- →Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing emails at any time

9. Data Retention
- •Free plan saved reports: automatically deleted after 7 days
- •Pro plan saved reports: automatically deleted after 90 days
- •Account data: retained until you delete your account
- •Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law
- •Email logs: retained for 90 days for debugging purposes
10. Children's Privacy
elaSEO is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice on the site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version. Continued use of elaSEO after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
